Recovering old forum links

Columbia

Recommended Posts

Ever since the forum update, many links to parts of the forums have been broken due to the update, because of the new link format.

Say, an old thread links to a part of the forum, but the new format makes it impossible -- It just links to the main part of the forum.

For example, a link like this would have worked in the old forum. But due to the update, that is no longer the case.

I've tried to change the link to follow to the format of threads in the forum, but that just leads me to some other random thread.

Any suggestions?

The new software already parses old thread links (but not old post links). The thread ID on the link you posted appear incorrect (it's for this thread). Where did you find the link?

Edit: Looks like this is the correct link for that thread:

It was in a Kerbin City thread. Also, thanks for recovering it.

I meant links to forum posts, the old links don't seem to work (at least the ones that I tried) or there are some errors with some links. Is this normal for the migration?

This thread is quite old. Please consider starting a new thread rather than reviving this one.
