Space Plane Editor goes mental!

OK, I was playing last night and I would have taken screen shots and other things, but we had a thunder and lightning show so had to quickly turn off the computers.
 

The problem is, while I was in the space plane editor, things were mental... usually, you can only place 2 parts, a second mirror of the first... like, landing gear.... however, I was getting the option to place 3 or more mirrors... (it was like I was in the rocket building editor)

But even with 2 parts.... landing gear for example, one would be placed under the wing, where my mouse point was, but the other one would be on top of the wing...

doing wings was even stranger.... I'd line one wing up.... perfectly.... only to find the other wing at some strange angle .... ummm, 1st wing, 90 degrees ... second wing... 110 degrees or whatever...

This isn't the first time its happened to me, so I'm assuming its happened to others...

Anyone? A fix would be great!

Press R to switch between radial and mirror symmetry

I never knew that..... oh hell... I've only been playing for years.... and ... I know nothing....

Nope, that was not it....

So, I will remove the last added mods in case that is it... when i did, I never went into the SP hanger.

Note that if you're under one symmetry mode and attaching to an already-symmetrically-placed part, it will silently change to the same mode of the parent part, and you're not able to change symmetry mode in that case.

If it's attaching to a single part, then no idea - you probably need to upload a picture to show the exact problem.

Well, I edited the plane where the problem was, and it was still there, so I started a whole new plane but using the mostly the same components.... still there....

so that is when I posted my last post.... between then and now, I went back in and it seemed to be fixed... but I have figured out it was the space plane parts pack I was using, or rather, one particular part in that pack, so... not using it. without using that part.... and pressing R seemed to fix it.
