Navy Boot camp.

well, I\'ve now got 11 more days till i fly out to the great lakes from my small town to become a sailor and it only seems like life is just beginning for me! Ive been anticipating this for a long time now and very much looking forward to it, i honestly just cant wait, cant believe the day is coming!

haha, well if any of y\'\'all are military or come from a military family I\'d love to here from ya here!

and for every one, ill be inactive for 8 weeks till im done with boot and get to my training school, at witch time i should be able to contact again.

What ship are you planning to be on? I was in the USAF, and currently in the IAF (Israeli Air Force) to train pilots.

My cousin just went through Navy Boot Camp last year and is in A-School now.

Good luck mate. He had no issues, just expect lots of yelling

What ship are you planning to be on?

To be honest i haven\'t the slightest idea, all i really know for a fact right now is that ill be flying to boot camp in 10 days now, graduating from there in 8 weeks, and going to Florida for my A school and ill be in the service for 4 years active 4 years reserve.

As far as ship placement goes i can be anywhere from a carrier to a sub, i just don\'t know yet...

I do know tho what my job will be and that\'s an IT, and im extremely excited to get started on this when i hit my A school

....just expect lots of yelling :PYelling is the norm lol

haha Yeah, ive got no issue with people being in my face screaming at the top of there lungs if it comes down to it

Best of luck to ya and enjoy your time in the fleet from talking to friends Navy boot camp wasn\'t too bad but I chose ROTC instead so no first hand info on it

ROTC? nice that\'s exciting! are you currently doing that or are you officer already?

On my second year of ROTC not an officer yet but I will be probably commissioned December 2015

I did ROTC for a year. We\'ve moved since then, and I really have no desire to take it again.

I did learn how to iron clothes and polish shoes, so that\'s all right I guess.
