stuck in space center

Please, I need help, this is very frustrating. I've had two careers now go bust because some how my buttons stop working. I mean for example, I load the game and am looking at the space center. Well, can't click into any of the buildings. Then press ESC and non of the buttons there work. Only fix is to start a new career. No kerbals have died, have been fired or lost.  Mods isntalled are xscience, forscience, chatterer, distant object enhancer, dynamic texture loader, engine lighting, EVE, alarm clock, KER, mechjeb 2, module manager, scatterer, stage recovery, stock bug fix, SVE, surfeace mounted lights.

Is the view also locking to a certain angle? As in you can't turn the view? If it's that particular bug, it can be fixed by activating the debug menu, (press Alt and F12), clicking on the input locks button, and clearing what you find. Otherwise, it's something else, and I can't help you. 

But, if you go through these steps, you might be able to self troubleshoot, or at least collect enough info that someone else may be able to help.
