So I installed several mods, and dropped the files that were in the 'GameData' files of the mods into the 'GameData' file on ksp.

My understanding is that doing this alone is enough for the mods to activate. Unfortunately, this doesn't seem to work ever since the release of 1.1 (and yes, I made sure I use the mods compatible with 1.1).

Is there any way to manually activate them?

And you copied the files into the gamedata folder of the 1.1 installation and not into any backup folder?

Where is that 1.1 folder? The absolute path. If it is in a subfolder of C:\program files or C:\program files (x86) then Windows will prevent any foreign executable code from being called by KSP.

A screenshot of your gamedata folder might also give us some clues.

This is not true. At least not for everyone. All my mods work just fine and KSP is loaded under Program Files (x86).

Not for everyone but for some people.

This is what my GameData folder looks like. The mods are all there, but none of them work!

Now what happens if you copy the whole game to somewhere outside Program Files (x86) like C:\Games and try to manually launch that copy?

And you can delete that PlanetShine-0.2.5 folder.

I deleted PlanetShine-0.2.5, but the same issue happens when I copy the whole folder and paste it somewhere else.

None of my mods work. It's as if something is stopping them from activating (and I checked my anti-virus, it's not that either).
