Suggestions for a Career noob

Hi guys!

I'm thinking of delving into the deep pit that is a career save in KSP, and I want to do it modded. Because I've never really done this before, I want some suggestions for mods. I'd rather it if you avoid part mods, unless they add directly to the career experience. I'm largely asking for suggestions of mods that improve the career mode, like contract mods and improvements to the stock mechanics, etc.

This one is good. Always thought it was weird how you can manage to complete over a dozen flights before the in-game clock hits 1 week.
