Retracting Panels, "Editor Only"???

On the OX-4L or OX-4W panels, I was hoping that an EVA with and Engineer would allow me to retract them.  The button I got was "Retract (Editor Only)" and clicking on it didn't do anything.  What does that mean?

Those panels are deploy only, they will not be able to retract whatsoever.

If the Retract action is still displayed on the EVA menu, it's probably a bug. That action is only used to preview deployment in the editor.

The SP-L and SP-W are the retractable versions.

Where you build your crafts. Either the VAB (vehicle assembly building) or the SPH (space plane hanger).
