Great you guys are doing this!

A few suggestions:

Your pictures are great, nat geo level, but the layout is kind of lame... Do you guys have anyone with photoshop and magazine design vision? It could really step up the quality.

You could do more in each number, like best pictures, best missions descriptions, tutorials, discussions, etc.

Hola henryrasia, thanks for your feedback

It is less of a magazine design vision and more of a scientific journal design vision. As such the articles are the core, and are presented in a similar fashion to academic papers. In addition to this we also include magazine elements such as the photography page and the KGSS challenge pieces. Since the articles form a thread through the journal, the magazine elements can essentially take any style the author wishes without upsetting the underlying theme.

We would indeed like to include more, but that depends on the external interest and input the journal receives.
