KSP crashing since 1.1 on OS X

Please help!

I am attempting to play KSP 1.1.2 via Steam on my Mac Mini (Late 2014)  running OS X El Capitan (10.11.4) and it crashes on start up.  It's been crashing since 1.1 and I don't know what to do.  As of this morning I'm running a clean installation of the game through Steam - I deleted everything and reinstalled.  My Build ID file contains the following:  "build id = 01260 2016-04-30_12-12-21 Branch: master" and looking at the crash dump, the problem seems to be related to audio.  This is interesting, because I haven't had sound working for several versions.  I've attached links the crash dump and player.log file.  Does anyone have any ideas for me?  I'm quite frustrated that I can't play KSP :(

Same thing here!  And I have the same crash dump when I try to start Besiege on my Mac.  I've turned the Steam Overlay off and removed and reinstalled both games and I get the same crash at startup.

Pretty much the same!  Why is loading sound at the beginning of the game causing a crash???

I FIGURED IT OUT!! This looks to be a bug in Unity - without an input device (microphone) Unity crashes. I was attempting to change audio settings on my Mac Mini to see what I could do (turns out there is not much to change on a Mac - big surprise) and I noticed I had no input devices listed. On a whim, I plugged in an old set of headphones into the audio input jack on the back of the Mini. OS X detected the headphones and an input device was listed and... KSP started!  This fixed Besiege, City Skylines and KSP!!  How do I submit this problem to Unity??
