Add atmospheric density and gas MW display to the Atmospheric Fluid Spectro-Variometer

Recommended Posts

Its a simple suggestion, currently in game there is no way to determine the atmosphere's density or average molecular mass.

Players have no way of knowing from in game information that Duna's atmosphere at 0.05 atmospheres is significantly denser than Kerbin's at 0.05 atmospheres.

We already have science instruments that provide potentially useful information in addition to just the "science points" - like the barometer for instance has a display function unrelated ot gathering "science points".

I suggest that they add a display function to the Atmospheric Fluid Spectro-Variometer and have it show the MW of the gas, and the density (which should be a function of pressure, temperature, and MW)

Enabling Aerodynamic GUI in the Cheats Menu > Physics, displays a lot of information about atmospheres including pressure, air density... Though I agree it would be nice to have access to it without going through the cheats menu.
