Mod to quit the game faster.

I love this game.  Have loved it for years. I don't leave the 'Science Labs' on these forums too often, but has someone made a mod to immediately quit the game?  As much as I love pressing Esc (load)-> 'Back to Main Menu'(load) -> Back(load) -> Quit(load) -> Quit(load), I'd much rather have more of a tight, manual control over my computer and be able to exit the application immediately without the seemingly unnecessary loading phases. 

I know I can just right click the application on the taskbar and close the program, but that feels 'unnatural'.     Thanks for your input, in advance.

Alt+F4 works too. I think it was confirmed that provided you don't do it while the game is saving, there's no problem with using it.

seconded. I do it all. the. time. From everywhere in the game. Never a single issue I could ever trace back to doing this

Thirded! I hardly ever quit by going back to the main menu. From in flight I tend to go back to the space center view and then alt-f4 (as that ensures a save), but everywhere else I just hit alt-f4.

if a game really got stuck the fasted way is ctrl-shift-esc to open taskmgr and then end process

right now I need something to make the game quit slower because of massive CTD issues... but this is another topic

I usually run KSP windowed, so most of the time I just click on the "X" in the top right corner. Yes, I admit that I have crashed ships because I was browsing Facebook during descent.
