Not to be diminish your achievement, but with this forum you are supposed to post challenge or mission ideas for others to attempt to do. Good on you for getting your base to duna though.

Depends. If you want to maximise the experience then I'd suggest the surface.

Haha i've already landed it.

So far there is the science module and the crew module

and the DAV (Duna Ascent Vehicle)

Remember there IS a difference between a crash and an unplanned lithobraking maneuver. The difference is that one explodes and one has a RUD! (Rapid unsceduled dissambly)

After a year on Dina I think Bob, Bill and Valentina

entered the DAV and lifted off successfully and then rendezvoused with

my replica of the Lockheed martins Mars thing... and now they stay on 

the spacecraft until I can mine ore and convert it into fuel and then refuel

the giant Lockheed Martin Mars station...
