Parts for Rep?

So, what If there were parts that could give you rep? Like Cameras, and stuff like that? I think that it would be cool to see.

I actually like this idea... here's my ideas on this...

• A mod, much like the one that already exists that offers the various cameras. As you successfully use a camera to fulfill a certain mission, you get another camera... and so forth and so forth until you get the telescope that was in the Asteroid Day mod pack. This way, you are not only getting science points, but rep points for taking pictures.
•  Added to above (after I already posted it): What would really be neat is if the mod had an on-line component. This way, the KSP audience could have a part in the amount of rep the photograph gets.  So, if your Kerbal on a mission took a really great shot, then the rep points for every Kerbal on that mission would be increased to reflect the success...

• Parachutes on Kerbals/Kerbal ejection systems - I know there are a few out there that do this, but the idea is that if the Kerbal survives the ejection (and the craft crashes), then more rep points are given.

Or perhaps a whole overhaul based around the idea of resources being actually useful and connected with each other?

In such system, if cameras were scientific instruments, they would directly feed into reputation.
