Wrong Rung

The need for a procedural ladder type has already been suggested and this idea is something similar.

The rungs that are part of the Z4k battery do not function; kerbals cannot grab hold of the rung.

If this type of rung was available on more parts but instead allow a kerbal to hold onto.the rung, allows for more ladder options..

 

 

The rungs on the Hitchhiker and the Materials Processing Lab work as ladders. 

Maybe more parts should have rungs integrated.  An option to hide/remove them from the Part Action menu in the VAB/SPH only.

I suspect that the rungs on the battery weren't meant to be functional.

Still, we'll have to wait and see how the rumored rocket parts revamp turns out before determining whether it is appropriate to add rungs to batteries.

That sounds fishy.  Why are they there at all, in the exactly right place?

He should file a bug.

We have decorative ladders all over the place in the KSP grounds, just there for the heck of it, and you can climb them.  Why those useless ones and not these useful ones?

Bug, I call it, or design problem.  Their engine may have problems with the notion of a 1-rung ladder.  Which ladder are they climbing when they're crossing three at once?

My suggestion, either fix the rungs or convert them to some other widget so we can put our own rungs there.
