Prop requirement met = 0% (always)

Recommended Posts

KSP: 1.1.3 x64

Problem: Prop requirement met = 0% (screenshot down below)

Reproduction steps:

It happens on Runway or in flight. Engine Info Tab always showing 0% requirements met (which i assume means no air). It happens to all airbreathing engines. They produce enough thrust to fly ok. The thrust is also decreasing as the atmosphere is getting thinner (which is normal too). Any idea whats going on here? Note that I'm on a rp0, RSS, FAR, realfuel modded game (see below).

Also, I'm wondering: There used to be a bug with landing legs (the small ones) in 1.1 or so. Has it been fixed? Or do I need something like this:

Because on some modified stock planes I get quite a lot of wobbling and exploding wheels....

The sliding wheels issue is really annoying. Is it a bug? Please help me, currently I have to launch my planes like rockets and land them with parachutes. Not fun :(

Even the fix didnt help

For wobbling or bouncing, you generally want to tweak the spring and damping values on the wheels that either have very little load, or are very heavily loaded.

For sliding, generally you want to set the friction on the rear wheels much higher. For veering on the runway, you also often want to reduce the friction on the front wheel a lot (below .5).

The stock planes are not well-built. If you want to use them, you often have to upgrade the rear wheels one level.

Ok thanks for the reply. I'll give that a try.

This also happens to my own creations so I think it might have something to do with load or I might try some tweaking

  • 10 months later...

This thread is pretty old, and some core game mechanics may have changed since the OP asked their question.

Thread locked to prevent confusion, but kudos to everyone who helps answer the question! :D
