The closest I've ever been was Curaçao.

Is the weather in Trinidad anything like it?

If so, phew! I tell you, I'm not build for an environment like that.
Wearing a blouse, shorts and flipflops is almost a must eh?!

Sorry I didn't reply earlier, I'm back in the states now. Yeah, mandatory wear includes:

 

Shorts

Tank top

Sandals / Flip Flops

Beer.
