Xbox one/Orbit / quick question/ please and thanks.

Recommended Posts

Hello, so far I am only having a problem with one thing, have watched many you tube videos but they are all using a mouse, ok so I'm up in space, I have tilted the 45 degrees everything is perfect, when I switch to map mode I see my trajectory but no matter what I put the cursor on and no matter what button I hit I cant figure out how to DRAG out the line that represents the orbit...the one that lets you set a waypoint and then gives you the information on how long the burn should be and how long before the burn etc etc....the vids I watched they are using a mouse which doesn't help me on xb1 controller...I am almost there and this is the only part holding me up, Ive tried everything...there is no button that lets me put the cursor on and drag the line out for an orbit...nothing that I can find that lets me add a waypoint...very frustrating, Thank you very much in advance for any help, good day.

First, you need to have upgraded both your Tracking Station and Mission Control one step, to Tier 2.

After that, to create a maneuver node you click once on your orbit. It will have two buttons: "Warp to Here" and "Create Maneuver Node". Select the second.

It will create a thingy that you can modify 7 different ways. It shows each of the six directions you can burn and you can pull on those. You can also grab the center circle and drag it around your orbit (to see the different effects of modifying when you do the burn).

A quick Google search and found This finely crafted post, hope it helps. Also,  seems to be something in the KSPedia also.

If I understood it right you need to tap the Left Stick to toggle cursor,  move your cursor to where you want a maneuver node and press the submit button (A?  X?  EJECT?  I can only guess) .

Also,  as bewing said,  you need to upgrade Tracking Station and  Mission Control first.
