Does landing gear friction control affect brakes?

Basically I'm trying to land a plane on a small platform.

It doesn't affect breaks in the sense that increasing or decreasing friction stops the breaks from working, but if you max out the friction, you won't need breaks. In fact, you may not even get off the ground because you may not be able to move.

Heh. It's not that bad. If your wheels are straight a very high friction will cause you to slow to a stop over a kilometer -- where a lowish friction value will cause you to roll forever.

The point is that brakes will stop you from going forward or backward. High friction will stop you from going side to side. If you really want to make sure you stop, you kinda need both.
