Newbie saying hi and help

Hi just joined as I bought the game a few days ago but not had much time to get used it it

I played this a few years ago when it was being put together and was a great game. First seen the game on Pistonheads that I am a member of 

 

Just a question:

I have a pretty good Mac I have downloaded this for. 2.5GHz Core i7, 16BG 1600MHZ DDR3 ram, 500GB SSD Hard drive and NVIDIA Ge FORCE GT750 2048MB so I was hoping this would work my my mac. it's the first PC based game I have bought for years as I normally just use the Xbox 

Problem I have is I press luncher, start new game and just says loading. can do this for 10 mins. but nothing and my mouse if just going round and round as they do when its suppose to be working. I tried a scenario and it started and I could see the game and rocket etc.. but again just locked up 

 

Any tips. i'm on holiday Thurs and was hoping to have a blast on this over the holiday

Hope this will do until a Mac specialist comes along ...

KSP is not a PC-based game, it's written with Unity which should mean it runs equally well on Macs and Linux.  Same for mods (not that you're using any yet, probably).
The specs for your Mac certainly look sufficient too so, I'm afraid that I'm stumped as I have no Mac experience.

Hmm. Try not using the launcher - just click the game icon instead. If that fails, try redownloading the game (if you got it from the store) or verifying the game integrity if you bought it on steam. I am neither a Steam nor a Mac expert, so...

cheers for the help and welcome. 

 

I bought it via the main website. just unsure why it locks up. Will try and few different ways to lunch the game. but I have tried a few ways but still locks up.

cracking game and as i've turned off the anti aliasing it works. KSP sent a reply to my email and sorted  well happy and have even managed to get a ship into space now. but thats it so far

Thanks for telling us what the problem was.  As far as I know this is the first time anyone's had trouble with the anti-aliasing but if Squad gave you that advice they must be on to it :-)
Remember - getting to space is easy.  Getting to orbit so you stay in space is the first major hurdle.

The patcher is broken, and always has been, but the launcher is merely useless AFAIK.  It works but doesn't do anything you need anyway, unless you *gasp* never visit the forums.
