V1 Bomb Replica

I decided to attempt the V1 bomb when I realized how well my launch sled works on small craft. Here is the result, the engine is slightly larger than it should be, but it is recognizable I think. MechJeb is required.

Here it is sitting on the sled.

Shooting down the runway (or launch track if you prefer)

Just after separation (the sled sticks to the ground very well)

Flying away, it cannot cross the ocean though.

Flight instructions.

1. Turn on ASAS.

2. Turn throttle to full.

3. Launch!

4. Separate as close to the end of the runway as you dare (Or halfway down, it doesn\'t matter too much)

5. Set MechJeb to surface, 0 pitch.

i like it. never thought of adding downward tilting wings to my rocket sled. you mined if i ninja the idea of you for my big plane. ;P it\'s got to be better than adding more fuel tanks. but not as much fun.

Sure, go ahead. Some advice is to make sure that most (if not all) of the little winglets are between your front and rear landing gear wheels. Get them outside and they tend to flip it.

I had a go doing this for rocket cars trying to get maximum speed. Found the solids the fastest but also a total nightmare to not roll over!

Anyway, Rocket sleds are great. I haven\'t made enough of them.
