Side view parts images?

Recommended Posts

My apologies if this has already been asked. but I'm looking for a full list of parts but at a side view that are the correct proportion to each other.

I would love to be able to come up with design ideas at times when I cant play it. like at work :P

Anyone know of anything like this about?

The only thing I use is this site:

http://wiki.kerbalspaceprogram.com/wiki/Parts

They aren't side views, but you can design things with it roughly. If you want a side view of every part, you have to draw/screen them yourself.

Yeah I Guess I will have to screenshot them myself as the wiki is no good to me, i was side shots as the angled shots are inconsistent :(

Yup, but keep in mind you'll never have a real 2d screenshot, in the VAB and SPH is always a perspective view. This means that the longer/bigger parts will have a deformed shape.

Good point. I was planning on just having some girders and then keeping the camera in the same position take off and put on a new part to keepthe deformation to a minimum and then screenshot. would take forever though. so i'm already going off the idea :( shame there isn't something out there "Kerbal Space Procrastination" so I don't have to work :P

Yes indeed,

But when I'm designing a ship, I can't do it without KSP, except for planes.

Rocket designs are mostly done with a lookout on the Delta-V and TWR

Yeah I imagine. Im an xbox user so I dont have the help of Delta-v calculators. I was more interested in designing vehicles and then making them on KSP at a later date and then tweaking from there to make them flyable. My issue is I don't get much time on KSP as ive got a big family. so when I do I end up rushing my crafts and then forgetting something vital. So was looking for someway or getting an idea together during a lunch break at work to save me some time. Sounds like there isnt anything out there for me though. thanks anyway!

You're welcome :)

I suggest to roughly sketch your design, since you can't test them at the same time, it would be wise to keep the 'out-of-ksp-sketching' just rough and quick. Just write down/learn the stats of parts and you'll be ok I think
