KSP 1.2 - maybe not play no more?

Hi all. Im using version 1.2 1500 and have landed on Laythe. Upon taking off I notice there is no blue line showing my trajectory. I have trawled through Google and I realise this is a pre release but any help? Is this because Im not using an antenna? I personally dont want to use them. Tried 4 times now and no blue line. Maybe wait till official 1.2 release?

EDIT: Im seeing now that without a signal I cant do many controls/manouveres. Is there a way to disable this? If not, then im not sure I can continue playing as this is not what i want to do.......

You have the option to disable the whole comm net thing in the pre-release version, retaining the old-style play.

But yes, you're probably best waiting for the full release.

To disable, go into settings (escape from KSC) and click on the difficulty settings button.

cant see difficulty settings. im in the settings but nothing will change it, but thanks anyway.

Really?

When in the KSC main screen (i.e. with all the buildings visible) press escape, then "settings". At the top of the window there should be a button for the difficulty options.

like this:

When you press that "difficulty options" button, you should have a "disable comm net" button in the middle of the screen.

Could you post a screenshot of this settings menu you're talking about? I get the feeling you're in a different settings menu

I was in the wrong settings....I also appreciate your help by providing visual instructions
