Equivalent stock parts to IRL conversion

First of, I am not going to go and install mod parts or realism mods.

1) While most of the Delta IV heavy are based on the Orange Tank and mainsail/skipper, the wiki claimed the PT Munsplorer is similar to Delta IV Heavy. Would you agree with that statement on Wiki?

2) I want to make a Thor-delta Clone to launch my Telstar Clone. Should I be using the 1.25m or the 2.5m for first stage?

Orange tank is based on the STS Main Tank, which the Delta IV Heavy is painted like. As far as the stock craft, couldn't really tell you but there will be no direct analogues for a variety of reasons. Any similarities are in your head

Thor-Delta had a tiny payload, you should be using the 0.625m parts for the upper stage.
