UKSA - Program History - (Resurgence Program)

Background

With the recent unification of the nation-states of Kerbin, the new era of peace has allowed the progress of Kerbal science to reach new heights - literally - through the development of their first space program. Consolidating funds from the many global corporations and associations, this lightly government subsidized program is mostly on its own to forge its existence in the competitive marketplace of the Kerbal business world. Through company contracting and scientific grants, the space program attempts to earn funding in order to begin its long and arduous process of exploring the Kerbol system. Through an initial grant by the new United Kerbal Republic government, the organizers of the Program had its facility location selected and constructed. With the construction finally finished, the Kerbal Space Center is officially ready.

Facility Upgrades

Mission_Control_LVL_2.png

Our staff have just announced that our newly upgraded Mission Control facility has just been finished and is operational just in time for the launch of the MIST 3 space probe on Year 1 Day 98. Good work team!

Tracking_Station_LVL_2.png

After successfully receiving scientific data back from our MIST 3 Probe, various scientific organizations around Kerbin awarded our program with grants. This allowed us to perform upgrades on our Tracking Station which will, in combination with the new Mission Control facility, allow much more precise and accurate flight planning - a tremendous advantage for future missions! Many thanks to all who’ve contributed!

VAB_LVL_2.png

With a successful beginning to our crewed space program, Resurgence 1 and 2, we received a generous grant from the UKR government which was used to fund our most ambitious facility upgrade yet, the Vehicle Assembly Building! With this upgrade complete on Year 1 Day 147, we have much better assembly equipment and abilities at our disposal, which can mean only one thing - bigger and better spacecraft! Very exciting!

Launch_Pad_LVL_2.png

With some very… persuasive arguments, we managed to garner some extra funding in order to upgrade our launch complex. This new upgrade allowed us to be more ambitious with our crew orbiter, Resurgence, and hopefully enable a successful launch after three unfortunate failures.

Astronaut_Complex_LVL_2.png

After our first successful orbit, flown by Jebediah Kerman, we received funding to develop our Kerbal crew equipment and procedures, through the use of a more advanced Kerbonaut Complex. Now with this new tool at our disposal, we have developed spacesuits with MMU’s included. Therefore our next launch, Resurgence 7, should be the first spacewalk by a Kerbonaut!

R_AND_D_LVL_2.png

After three successful probe landings on the Mun, we have obtained enough funding to upgrade our most expensive facility yet, the Research and Development complex. With the improved laboratories and facilities, our scientists can develop ever more complicated and useful technologies. Great work everyone!
