Interstellar Observation Instrument

So, here it is: An instrument the science outcomes of which depend on its orientation instead of biomes. Essentially, a space telescope. (This is also the perfect opportunity to sneak in some aliens.)

I agree, not about the aliens though. What could be cool instead is easter eggs. There can be so many things hidden in the skybox. A telescope part should also have real science as an outcome. Take a picture, get cool stuff and scientific data about the distance, size, spectrum, metallicity and all that fancy astrophysical jazz.

I agree. Here's an idea regarding "real science": maybe there should be a menu option to toggle between joke science that is there right now and real science?

Why not both? We could have witty messages and actual graphs and science stats in the same window.

Sounds solid. Also, I wish we had the ability to make graphs in-game. Like, if you keep an instrument on for some time, you could call up a data graph.
