hi, i want to make ksp to run faster since my pc is out of the minimum craves. i want to maybe make it faster but i can\'t upgrade my pc

this is what i do when i play games such as Saints Row the third. KSP is somewhat laggy due to it being so 'Alpha' but if its your computer. lowing its loading load will help.

My PC can run modern games at 60fps with at least high settings. The optimisation (due to alpha) is pretty bad right now. I just hope they optimise it well for release.

Yes, turn down the shiny. I had to do that with my old PC too. Now I get 60-70 fps on the pad, 100-120 fps on launch, and 160-180 fps on a 400.000 - 400.500 Kerbin orbit. Although you can\'t, upgrading is by far the best option. Everything you do on your pc will go way faster.

Simpler ships also fly a lot higher FPS. Further, clearing your persistence file may help, especially with launch pad lag. In 0.15, evn though I am on a top notch PC, my launch pad grinded to a halt becauise of all the debris I had in orbit that had to load.

I\'m looking for some tips too.

Running the game at 1280x720 (windowed).

out in space, the game runs very smooth (with ship size usually decreasing because of stages).

But on the launch pad, it takes a few seconds before fps picks up. Still not very smooth. but,

as soon as I look at the sky it picks up considerably.

22-25 fps isn\'t alll that bad at launch, but would like to improve as much as I can.

any ideas? I want to turn on the 'scenery' but don\'t know if that\'s a good idea.
