How to time minus orbital injection.

Recommended Posts

What\'s a good method to time your burn to meet min,us. Adjusting the angle is no problem but timing has alwase been the most difficult for me is KSP. For the mun I imagine it is at 3 on a large clock and aim for about 12-1. If possible would someone be able screenshot there map view of this injection?

I cant give you a screenshot, but if minmus is at 3 as well, you want to hit 12 dead on. That\'s what I do, works like a charm every time. I\'ve actually never missed now that I think about it, whereas I used to miss the mun ALOT when I started playing this game.

Well, for me, from tutorials i learned you get to the Mun from doing the burn at Mun-rise.

So I did the same for Minmus, but use map view so you can see it. I find it pretty easy to get there now.

Yea, that would make it a '12 o\'clock' insertion, if you excuse the non-technical phrase. Doing an insertion burn to other planets is going to be intersting, because as far as I know, it\'s a whole different ball game. We\'re all so used to these nice, easy insertions too.

Make your orbit as close to Minmus\'s as possible but with opposite direction. You\'ll hit it in less than one orbit.

Nah, the other way is easier and uses less fuel and less time.
