A couple options from my spreadsheet...

Assuming a 12t payload (padding for assorted junk), 1300 m/sec DV, minimum t/w 1.4 relative Duna, and vacuum Isp

Lightest single engine solution is an aerospike with a single x200-16 tank.

Lightest multiengine solution is 2 Terriers with a single X200-16 tank.

Cheapest solution is a single Poodle with a single X200-16 tank.

Best fuel economy is 2 LV-Ns with 2 Mk.1 tanks.

All of these options total in the 21-22t range.

as soon as the colony modules are boarded, it will be launched for duna and we will see how well it does
