Disappearing Probes

G'Day,

Any time I leave a probe to quit the game or go to the space centre it vanishes. This does not appear to happen with manned vehicles. The probes still exist to some degree as other vehicles in the vicinity show green communication lines connecting with them.

Any help is appreciated as this problem wrecks the game.

Sounds like you just have the probe type filter turned off. If it's not on then probes won't show up on the map. That seems the most likely explanation given that your third sentence indicates that the probe hasn't really gone away.

Its not that, I just checked again. The probe filter indicates I have 0 probes in flight even though I have 4 (somewhere).

There is a button for both probes and relays. If you have a relay antenna on it the game applies the relay name to it. Make sure you have that filter turned on as well

Its not a filter, one probe is showing its 80m under Minmus surface. It seems to be any unmanned vehicle.
