Adventures of Antares

I would like to introduce one of my ships to the community. I built it quite a while ago but she still is one of my favourite vessels for exploring the kerbal-universe. The 'Antares' is designed to deliver several probes in one mission and can also carry a small lander for moons and planets with easy landing conditions. She is used for missions like putting scan- and map-satelites in orbit of all the Jool moons in a single mission or establishing a probe-network around a planet.

Here are some pics from a typical mission. 'Antares' with Bill and Jeb gets to Duna with a payload of 2 communication-satelites, 2 map-satelites, 2 scout rovers and 1 small lander. After getting into high orrbit around Duna, Bill and Jeb first establish a communication-network by putting the 2 com-sats into high orbit over Duna. After communication is secure they start deploying 2 map-satelites to get information of the surface of both Duna and Ike looking for possible landing sites and anomalies. After getting a better picture of what is below they start to send 2 scout rovers to the Duna surface. Those are packed with instruments for further investigation of the conditions and are used to look out for suitable spots to establish a proper base. Finaly Bill and Jeb prepare to land on Duna themselves. They use a small lander that has just enough DeltaV to get them from a very low orbit to the ground somewhere on the equator and back to the 'Antares'. After returning to Kerbin safely Bill and Jeb reported that the first steps to colonize Duna have been successful.
