What does it mean when a graphics card does not POST?

In my quest to know anything and everything about computers I have run into this term. (A graphics card didn\'t POST)

What does not 'POSTING' on a graphics card mean?

POST is analogous to the pre-flight checklist of computer boot-up. If it didn\'t post it didn\'t load into the system, not recognized by the system, something like that.

POST = Power On Self Test

This means the device failed it\'s self testing diagnostics when it was powered up. This usually means the motherboard cannot communicate with the video card. Try reseating the card in your mobo.
