SSTO Spaceplanes in Galileo's Planet Pack

I'm getting a little bored with my 1.2.1 career save, and want to start a new 1.2.2 save built on the Galileo planet pack with accompanying mods to mix up this KSP career. However, I just spent the last two months intensively learning SSTO spaceplanes, and I'm really proud of my newfangled proficiency.

Spaceplane folks: What do you think of your Galileo career experience, and how different is it from stock?

Will my normal, working SSTO spaceplane designs fall flat in this new mod pack? Will my tried and true design philosophies just need gentle tweaking, or ground-up overhauls? Do SSTO spaceplanes even have a place in this new solar system, or are they made obsolete and inefficient by its unique features and limitations? Will I be able to build intuitively and enjoy the science payouts from my efficient and handsome ships, or will I have to learn an entirely new way of building around entirely different engines and planetary requirements?

Thanks!

GPP changes planetary characteristics, but doesn't touch parts at all, so you may have to tweak your designs to accommodate different planetary requirements, but won't have to start from scratch.

Tellumo SSTO is considered a bit challenge. It sports 1.9G and 10x atmospheric density ASL. This makes it tougher than Eve - should be something for you to try your design skills against.

I've been messing around with a GPP career and sstos in it and the only major difference I noticed is the different KSC location.

In GPP it's about 8.5° off the equator which means that if you just launch straight 90° from the runway you will end up in an inclined orbit.

However I found the beauty of sstos to allow a launch to equatorial orbit by going south (well sort of 130-150°) after liftoff.  Upon reaching 14-18 km level off and cruise south until you reach the equator and then do a turn onto it. This probably means your designs will need more LF than usual but you save loads of lfo for correcting your inclination later.

Cheers and have fun trying out this amazing planet pack!
