No stars in Minmus sky?

I just landed on Minmus for the first time in .16, and I noticed that there wasn\'t a single star in the sky (excluding Kerbol of course). Is this a known bug, or what?

This is intended AFAICT. Due to Minmus\' daylight surface being so bright, your eyes or the camera can\'t make out the faint stars anymore. Stars should begin appearing once you enter the night side.

Ah, that\'s pretty interesting. I just time warped, and stars appeared. Is this coded into Minmus itself, or is it actually the result of the lighting engine?

Yep, if you are in the day side of Minmus, or Mun, or Kerbin (eath), it will be, like in reality, 'day', and you will see no stars, as the light from Kerbol (sun) is so astonishingly more powerful than the light from the stars (it is really closer) it will hide it.

Put time warp at max and wait for Minmus to perform half of its orbit, so that you are on the opposite side from Kerbol, and you will see some (textured) stars.
