Rover AutoPilot Help Needed

Is there a tutorial available for Rover Autopilot? I have been unsuccessful at getting basic functionality.

Speed control and or Heading button usage  results in chaotic behavior. Rover runs in circles with no speed control.....  I'm running KPS 1.2.2 64bit and MechJeb2   2.6.0.0-687

I must be missing something obvious....

In my experience the biggest issue when the autopilot isn't working is usually that the wheels are not correctly configured; i.e., some wheels are turning the wrong way. So when you press forward, the wheels on the left actually go backwards, etc. Do a test run and play with the wheels. Then make sure you set them properly in the editor and save the craft.
