Wernher didn't turn.

"Is zis about twenty-three?" he said.

"Signal D-1 s-subfrequency twenty-three, sir We've cracked it. It's... it's a photograph."

Werhner spun around so quickly that the tails of his labcoat knocked over one of the many coffee cups that had settled in his office over the years.

"Show me."

"I mean, we've had a hell of a time getting the noise out of the abstract top layer alone, and with all of the - "

"Show me."

Thombart hesitated, then held out the envelope. Wernher took it before turning away again. He opened it, and pulled out the printout within.

He was quiet for a long time.

That wasn't normal. Thombart fidgeted. "Sir?"

Wernher was still staring. "Who vere you?" he whispered.

I know, I just feel so betrayed by these fallacious new "Magic Boulders" that I have to blame them for everything, even if 3 years happened in between.

I still think that some lore would have been a great addition to the game in the earlier stages of development (it might be hard to add now that the game is "released"), I personally really enjoy these kind of details in a game.
