A step van is around ~0.6 tons (http://www.truckntrailer.com/inventory/?cat=truck&subcat=step-van) and all my vehicles are 10x the weight of real vehicles because of "extra thickness" of chassis and other bits for hostile environment in space

if it weighs 600kg irl is should weigh roughly 400kg in ksp (atleast if you are doing it in kerbal size), but still, you made this van weigh something like 50 cars, it's a bit ridiclous

Haha it was difficult to determine the weight.  I just did a search and the US presidential state car weigh approximately 6.4 tons .  So my vehicle weigh just 7-8 of US presidential state car, so it isn't too bad.
