I always wondered what a spacecraft engine firing in a vacuum would look like. Here's an image of Apollo 8 performing its TLI as visible from Hawaii.

I once saw some video of a Soyuz docking with Mir. The Soyuz thrusters looked kind of like squirting a hose.

If you have seen Apollo 13, that would be the engine that thrusts the craft faster than a bullet from a gun.

It won't be "in space", since the flame obviously requires oxygen to burn... but that is pretty cool. Zero-g fire and water both look pretty cool.

I swear I heard that Nova worked on a vacuum rocket exhaust animation for 0.16, but I can't really tell if it's present or not.
