Returning to KSP few Questions are asked

Recommended Posts

Hi All,

I am returning to KSP after a few months of zero activity, Currently running 1.3.0.1804. in Career mode.

1. I cant open the debug menu any longer! has it dissapeared?

2. I have lost all control of numerous probes scattered around the many planets and moons, any suggestions?

3. Any suggestions how to recover these things mentioned above?

Thanks in advance and please, be gentle, time is limited due to life, yes I used the search and no i didn't find a definitive answer to above q's.

Welcome to the forums.

If you've lost control of the ships, that probably means a commnet problem. My guess is that you were playing your previous game with commnet turned off, and the new game defaulted to have it turned on. So, I would recommend going into Settings/Difficulty Options, and click the button to disable the "Comm Network".

As far as the Debug menu goes -- no, it's still there, right where it was. Alt-F12 on Windows, and Mod-F12 on linux (is that R-Shift?). But there are some companion apps that run on those systems that can eat those keystrokes and not pass them through to KSP.

I For some reason {left alt} +F12 don't works for me,  but {rigth alt} +F12 works. Worth a try,  I suppose.

If your probes are just out of communication range, instead of just turning the feature off,  you may fix it deploying a relay network (assuming nothing is in risk of collision or unacceptable trajectory).

Thank you all !!

Indeed comnet was enabled after the update full control of the vessels re-enabled!

I will investigate the Nvidia shortcuts and now you mention it i noticed my frame rate flashing on and off during Alt F12. I did not think anything of it at the time (*stupid!)  Again thankyou everyone im one happy old man !
