Computer Hangs When Installing Certain Mods

So it appears that my desktop computer (specs below) will completely freeze when I install certain mods. Primarily planet mods or visual enhancement mods. I am running version 1.3 KSP 64 bit version if that helps, I should also mention that I do not get a crash report. My specs are:

Windows 10

AMD RX 480

Intel Core i5 6402P @ 2.80GHz

8 GB RAM

1TB Toshiba Hard drive

MSI Bazooka motherboard

Any help would be greatly appreciated
