Black screen on launch

Hi folks,

when i tried to start the game I'm greeted with nothing except a black window. I can hear the background music and move the cursor, the game install is clean and steam file validation shows no problems. Any help is appreciated

I don't know too much, but it sounds like either a graphics card issue or a driver issue to me.

Just looked at the log and see you're rocking a NVIDIA 1060. As long as you're not having display problems with anything else, the card is not the problem. Perhaps check your drivers and make sure they're up to date? That's about the extent of "expertise" I can offer you. Sorry.

 are you using Windows 10? if so have you got the most up to date drivers for your graphics card? sometimes this will fix the problem.

Also try running as an administrator as this has helped me also.

I had this issue (also running windows 10 on a clean client) and it happened soon after I installed a new antivirus software. I ran the exe as administrator and it works just fine now. Apparently the AV was blocking its file access before I ran as admin.
