Can't undock ship

I docked a ship with an Advanced Grabbing Unit (the claw thing) to a Clamp-o-tron docking port on my space station and now I can't separate them. I tried right clicking on the Grabber and clicking the "undock" option but it didn't work, and now neither the Grabber nor the Clamp-o-tron has an "undock" option (I'm not sure if the Clamp-o-tron ever did). I also "disarmed" the Grabber and it retracted into its shell but the ships still wont separate. Is there any way to separate them with console commands? Could I at least delete the ship with the Grabber? I can upload my save file if it would help.

To decouple, you can either use the disarm option on the claw thing (commonly referred to as just claw) or the release option. You don't need a docking port, the claw can attach anywhere. Sounds like something else is going wrong though. Mind adding a picture and the savefile with the craft in question?

I didn't realize the save files are plaintext at first. I found the VESSEL section for the space station and deleted the parts that make up the ship that should have decoupled, then gave myself enough money to build another one of those ships so my problem is solved. I'm going to file a bug report, but if anyone is curious here is the screenshot and save files (it's the "Kerbin Space Station" that's orbiting Kerbin):
