Stockplugins mod won't install

I'm new to modding ksp as I enjoy playing vanilla and making the calculations myself. However I do need the protractor plugin for the phase angles of the diff planets from the Stockplugins mod but I can't get it to work. I've unzipped it, placed the actual Stockplugin file & the associated modulemanager.dll into \ksp\gamedata\squad (mod doesn't work) & i have tried putting them into the ksp\gamedata (mod doesn't work). What am I doing wrong? I know not to directly unzip my rar gamedata to the ksp\gamedata as it messes with loading and may cause crashes. The tutorials/readme.txt i've found have not really shed much light into how to install mods / this mod in particular.

Like every other mod they need to be in gamedata not in gamedata/squad. The stockplugins mod was made for 1.22 and seems dead, so the version of module manager that's contained in the mod is outdated and incompatible. You need at least module manager 2.8 for a KSP 1.3 install.
