Surface EVA reports (kerbin)

Does anyone have any craft concepts that work well for these types of contracts. I am currently testing what is essentially a command pod with 2 Junos on it. It works well except for the fact that jet engines don't immediately respond to a change in thrust, making landing accurately almost impossible.

It depends on if you are in a hurry or not. Is your realtime gameplay limited? It takes a little while, but it's safest and most profitable to taxi around in a small jet to do those experiments. Especially if you have a few airborne contracts to do too. You just drive around avoiding the dangerous ridges, hop out when you reach a waypoint and do your experiment -- and when you are done on the ground you take off and do the airborne waypoints.

guess i'd make a small plane that can land in rough terrain. mabye add parachutes if you aren't good at landing (and a 2nd seat for an engineer to repack the chutes).

tbh, i skip those contracts when they pop up. the reward is fairly low for the real time investment.

Well, that one fly pretty well, just land near the spot and taxi around as Bewing suggests.

I guess you can try a vtol design but seems unnecessary overcomplication.
