Val and the Ker-Ball Run

I'm doing the Ker-Ball Run and videoing the whole trip so I figured I'd post the video's in one spot

I'm using the MechJeb rover autopilot to drive the Dukes Jalopnik to KSC2 without refueling ... She's all stock (except for the DCK paintjob) and weighs in at 5.888 tons as well as having an average speed of  around 45m/s using only fuels cells to power the TR-2L wheels (no other power sources onboard)

2 hours and 10 minutes to reach the water crossing ... Looks like there's another 3 or so to go

The water crossing is next and will be slow going but once I'm across it is going to get interesting as there are a bunch of sand dunes in my way ... Lot's of places to grab some air, gonna get a little hairy

So I totally miscalculated how much liquid fuel I would end up using on the water crossing ... 80 units or so, wasn't expecting that

Anyways, made it across and should still be able to make it there (I hope) ... got a little hairy going over the dunes after crossing the water but the Dukes Jalopnik has stood up to the challenge (so far) ........

Nice paintjob!   Pretty nifty rover design, too!  What sort of trade-in deals are you taking?  I've got some massive USI rover-bases in the Sarnus system that have outlived their usefulness

So here we go again ... Lost the Juno early in the beginning of this part of the run but I don't need it anymore and it took a bit of weight off

Looks like I just might make it the whole way there ... Probably another 2 or 3 hours left until I make it to KSC2

So I made it after all, and with fuel to spare ... Travel time was just under 6 hours and 35 minutes (let's call it 6:35) and KSC2 is still there
