FPS droped to 1 and CPU got up to 90%

hello

I'm still playing at 1.3.0
last time I updated ANY thing in this install was 13 of 10
I'm still setting up my 1.3.1 install and last night, after installing the new SCANSAT mod update, 1.3.1 had an FPS drop to 1
removing SCANSAT didn't help so I went back to 1.3.0

and I found that it has the same problem
FPS is at 0.1-1 FPS and CPU is at 25-90% even in KSC
I never had it this bad in KSC and I didn't do any updates (looking at dates in KSP1.3.0 dir newest mod was installed on 13/10)

any explanations and suggestions?

(defenatly should have written I'm using win10)

the big problem is that I didn't update any mod yet the FPS went down 
up to 3 days ago I had 30 FPS and 20% CPU
then last night wily setting up a 1.3.1 install the new one started having problem (all mods up to date)

going back to the old install (no updates for more then 30 days) I find it has the same problem
I doubt it has any thing to do whit KSP 

I was hoping some one encounter this problem and has a suggestion wer to look

KSP 1.3.1 and 1.3.0 
win10 64bit

That is where you would be wrong ... you have numerous errors being thrown by various mods, a dozen or so miniavc's throwing version file errors and an overall messy install ... It appears you may need to revisit installing your mods

Check your mods to be sure they have been updated for KSP 1.3.1 as not all mods have been updated (yes, contrary to popular belief many mods will need a recompile)

I'm going off what your logs are saying so even though you may know what you are doing the logs say that you made a mistake somewhere ... whether by installing incorrectly or installing mods that aren't 1.3.1 compatible

found the problem

HD dead (gave me the click of death the last number of days)

rebooting windows and disconnecting the bad HD solved the problem
that HD did not have KSP on it nor a swap file 

so I don't know way it had that affect

yes
but noting is new
only the drop in FPS was new
 

my main game is still in 1.3.0 still working on setting up the 1.3.1
