Access Violation After game loads

Recently, I installed a new windows update, and after that no matter what the game always crashes before the title screen loads, the report file claiming it is an Access Violation. I have tried everything, from changing the way it loads, to wiping it completely off my computer and reinstalling it. Can anyone help me out here?
