This is my second bug report.

After launching my rocket, I reach space, zero gravity. I hear the Space Music. I turn my engines off.

Then I check my orbit progress at the tracking station, and it’s showing that my vehicle is still on the launch pad!!

Happens also in the careen mode. Basically when you switch between different buildings, the game "forgets" waht you did and realod the older state.

It also happnes when accepting contracts that are not accepted once you swithc form mission control back to space center. Or fullfilled contract will become unfullfilled once you recover spaceship.

I have also run into both of these issues, and more.  If I use my rover to go around KSC to pick up science points, if I EVA out and recover my Kerbal then go to recover my vehicle, about 50% of the time, the vehicle is back on the pad with no science having been attained.

It seems that a workaround (or it was just luck) is to quicksave anytime before you switch back to spa center or recover vessel.

Can confirm that quicksaving before switching to tracking station fixes this. Happened to me during interplanetary mission, switched to space station to transmit science only to find out that there was null and game had reverted last 100 days or so.

PS4, Enhanced Edition.

I have had some problems getting 'quicksave' to work, it seems like making sure that you have;

-no manoeuvre nodes placed

-have no parts-action windows open (contracts, science equipment, fuel tanks, crew reports)

-no 'targets set'

-next time you are safely in the tracking station, turn off all the tracking you aren't using, satellites, junk, relays. Kerbnet radio jumps...

I don't know if any of these actually help, but I was getting occasional save problems, and it seems to have cleared.

I'm not sure if you mean that you are hitting the options button while still in a parabolic arc, so that you can go to the tracking station to see how the flight is going.

or

If, while flying your rocket, you reach altitude, hear the space music.. turn off your engines... hold left bumper and tap right bumper to get into Map Mode..

Many things that you'll do in Low Kerban Orbit  require you to switch back and forth between "map mode" and "zoomed in spacecraft mode".
