[Stock] [0.16] Professional Pro Sun-Orbiter (possibly a glitch?)

Recommended Posts

I was attempting to make a sun orbiter. It was a minimalistic design, so I placed 4 of those rocket stands (you know, to prop your wobbly rocket up on the launchpod) around my design. I apparently glitched them through the roof of the editor, and I couldn't see my rocket. I didn't edit any files to get it this way, I did it all in the editor. I used those stands in a pathetic attempt to start me off higher so I wouldn't have to use as much fuel, and basically to start at a higher altitude. I went to the launchpad, and I was >700 meters up. Not bad I thought. Looking down, I couldn't see the bottom, but I could see the launch pad area. Later inspection shows that it seems like my rocket stand things were inside the tower, although it's far too low to see. Anyways, something exploded down there, and launched my pod at about 20,000m/s at the start, but it quickly slowed to 8000. This thing is accidentally capable of bringing you to the other side of the solar system.

Without using any fuel.

It seems like a pretty obvious glitch to me, if it isn't, it must be because the stands are exploding at the bottom due to too much weight on top, or for whatever reason. Then it's sending out my pod far away. I'll include a link to the .craft, and please try to replicate this yourselves and get back to me!
