games keeps crashing

ive been playing ksp for a little while now and decided to use a few mods but for some reason some work others dont,, the ones that do work shouldnt and the ones that should work arent ,, some say they're installed but i cant see the difference like the exo planets,,,and the extended community tree is all screwy the parts are there but the icons arent?!? and the tree is branching off everywhere,,, the k.a.s parts are there in the inventory but it says the sounds and textures arent installed, sometimes quits me out of game but not always,,, im running version 1.3 and some are saying i need version 1.3.1 but i cant find it anywhere can someone help me out please
