Hmm - I see. And I can't disagree. I guess it helps having the right perspective going into a movie like this.

Yeah I first tried to watch it with the mindset of viewing a normal film and was disappointed. The second time I tried to relax and enjoyed it much more, it's a sort of 'experience' (I know that sounds vague).
